Office Manager - Law Firm
Job Description:

Overview


Shay and Associates Law Firm is seeking an Office/Practice Manager to manage our Springfield and Decatur offices. This role involves overseeing daily operations, including facilities and records management, litigation support, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and human resources management.

Duties

  • Oversee daily office operations and ensure efficient workflow.

  • Manage office budgets and assist with financial planning.

  • Human Resources Management.

  • Coordinate training development programs for staff to enhance skills and productivity.

  • Organize office operations at both law office locations (Decatur and Springfield), including management of legal support staff.

  • Utilize QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting as needed.

  • Manage office/firm records.

  • Participate in hiring and training, including interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding employees.

  • Administer all accounting functions—accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.

  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed.


Qualifications

 

  • At least 5 years of operations and facilities management, preferably in the legal industry.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
